Sending a large file should not mean starting from zero whenever Wi-Fi drops. ChunkyFiles is a Windows-focused limited beta built to transfer files in smaller pieces, retry interrupted work and check that the completed file matches the original.
It is intended for people moving substantial files between computers, including creators handling video footage and teams working across less reliable connections.
What the current limited beta includes
- Chunked transfers: files are handled in smaller sections instead of one uninterrupted transfer.
- Pause, resume and retries: recover from interruptions without restarting the whole job where recovery is possible.
- Integrity checks: chunk verification and a final SHA-256 check help detect damaged or incomplete transfers.
- Diagnostics: transfer information and downloadable reports help testers describe problems.
These capabilities are implemented in the limited beta, but independent stress testing, penetration testing and broad compatibility testing remain to be completed. This is not a production-readiness or security certification claim.
